About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team. This role is key to ensuring the efficient handling, storage and distribution of building materials.

Key Responsibilities

Picking, packing and preparing orders accurately for delivery or customer collection
Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
Checking incoming goods against delivery notes and reporting discrepancies
Storing products in the correct locations within the warehouse and yard
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Assisting customers with collections in a professional and helpful manner
Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts
Following all health and safety procedures at all times Requirements

Previous warehouse or yard experience, ideally within a builder’s merchant or similar environment
Good level of physical fitness due to manual handling requirements
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
A valid forklift licence (essential)
Basic knowledge of building materials (advantageous) Salary: Up to £33,000 DOE
Hours - Monday - Friday
