WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – VNA DRIVER Location: Kettering Pay Rate: £14.40 per hour (equivalent to £30,000 per annum) Contract Type: Fixed-term contract until the end of September, with the possibility of extension (ongoing agency role) About the Company Our client is a leading railway infrastructure company dedicated to excellence within the rail industry. We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative with a valid VNA licence to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to maintaining outstanding service levels by efficiently managing material availability and supporting stock checks, stock counting, and other warehouse activities. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations: Carry out warehouse duties including accurate and efficient stock picking using handheld or mobile scanning devices, ensuring the accuracy of the warehouse management system.Pick, pack, ship, receive, put away, and kit components in line with established warehouse management policies. Quality Assurance: Adhere to packing procedures and guidelines to meet defined quality standards, including appropriate use of packing materials and techniques to protect items during transit and storage.Check and verify all picked stock and assembled loads prior to despatch, using the nominated systems.Ensure all stock is handled with care to maintain the highest quality standards and arrive in perfect condition for customers and suppliers. Inventory Control: Assist with inventory control by maintaining accurate records of packed items, supporting effective stock management.Stock check and stock counting experience required Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work areas, ensuring high standards at all times. Health and Safety: Work collaboratively in a safe manner, adhering to site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work.Support operational efficiency through general housekeeping and hygiene duties within the warehouse and site. Experience & Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations and stock control is essential.Valid VNA licence with demonstrable VNA operating experience is required.Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock management.Good hand, eye, and foot coordination to safely operate mechanical handling equipment.Reliable, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player with a flexible approach to work.Effective communication skills to contribute to smooth warehouse operations.
