Warehouse Operative Afternoon Shift

Contract Type: Temp to perm
Salary: £12.21ph- Increasing after 12 weeks.
Location: Severn Beach, Bristol BS35 4GG
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Friday
Hours of Work: 13:00pm - 22:30pm (Shifts will vary in length 7-10hrs)

The role:
Sort and organize incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.
Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.
Ensure proper labelling and categorization of parcels to prevent errors in delivery.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
Identify damaged parcels and follow company protocols for proper handling and documentation.
Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimizing space utilization.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
Requirements:
Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
