We are committed to providing innovative health solutions across various fields including orthopaedics and lymphoedema.Job Summary:We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse facility. This role is critical to ensuring efficient inventory control, accurate and timely customer shipments, a secure site, and full compliance with health and safety standards. A valid forklift licence is essential.This role is a key part of our senior leadership team.Key Responsibilities:Warehouse Operations:Manage day-to-day warehouse activities including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.Ensure accurate and timely shipment of goods to meet customer expectations.Maintain an efficient warehouse layout to optimise workflow and space utilisation.Stock Control:Maintain accurate stock levels, including cycle counts and regular stocktakes.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.Support continuous improvement of stock management processes.Health & Safety:Ensure compliance with all H&S regulations and company safety policies.Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.Promote a safe working culture and lead by example.Site Security:Act as key holder with responsibility for site opening and closing procedures.Ensure the security of premises, stock, and company assets.Monitor site access and report any security issues.Forklift Operations:Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.Maintain forklift and material handling equipment in accordance with safety standards.Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.Provide training, support, and clear direction to the team.Support recruitment and development of warehouse personnel.The successful candidate will:Lead and maintainISO accreditationprocesses (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO14001), ensuring continuous compliance and quality management improvementsEnsure UK compliance with NHS Evergreen and Cyber Essentials requirementsPlay a key role in shaping company procedures and operational best practicesRequirements:Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisionValid forklift licence (counterbalance and/or reach)Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and stock controlUnderstanding of Health & Safety legislation and site security protocolsExcellent leadership, organisational, and communication skillsIT literacy, including familiarity with warehouse or ERP systemsMust be local to Tunbridge Wells to support alarm call-outs and opening/closingExperience managing or working alongside customer service teamsFamiliarity with ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001First Aid or Fire Marshal certificationDegree educatedWe offer:Quarterly Bonus10% Contributory PensionCashback Health SchemeEV Car Salary Sacrifice SchemeLife Insurance25 Days Holiday, rising to 28To apply for this role, email a CV and cover letter to hr@thuasne.co.ukApplications made only on LinkedIn will not be reviewed
