The Lantern Community is a unique and inclusive home for *53 residents* (adults with diverse abilities) and welcomes over *20 day placements* from the local area. Placed in 15 acres of beautiful Hampshire countryside, we provide meaningful opportunities through our *9 workshops*, fostering independence, creativity, and a supportive community.
*About the Role:*
As a *Waking Nights Support Worker*, you will play a key role in ensuring the *safety, comfort, and wellbeing* of our residents throughout the night. Whether it's providing emotional reassurance, helping with personal care, or responding to emergencies, your calm presence will bring peace of mind.
*About You:*
You’ll need to be able to:
· Provide respectful, person-centred support
· Stay alert and responsive throughout your night shift
· Communicate clearly in spoken and written English
· Use IT systems including Microsoft Office, assistive tech, and remote monitoring tools
· Follow hygiene, safeguarding, and safety protocols
· Conduct regular well-being checks and foot patrols and respond appropriately
· Work confidently both as part of a team and independently (on-call support provided over the night hours)
· Ability to follow training, policies and procedures

· *Preferred qualifications:* Care Certificate or Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Full training will be provided for the right candidate if this qualification is not yet held.
