The Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) department is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and decision support for the Securities and Banking Divisions of MUFG in the EMEA region. The department's mandate includes:
- Connecting senior management's long-term strategic plan with operational reality, including 3-year mid-term plans and annual budgets.
- Partnering with the business to develop operating and financial plans aligned with strategic goals, including rolling forecasts.
- Monitoring and analyzing variances between budgets/forecasts and actual performance, providing insights and challenge.
- Using financial data to advise management on performance improvement, risk minimization, and opportunity capture, including analysis of financials, KPIs, and risk assessments.
- Supporting decision-making by providing relevant information to stakeholders and identifying performance levers.
- Participating in projects such as capital allocation, market research, organizational restructuring, and process optimization leveraging technology like BI, AI, and RPA.
The role is a Fixed Term Contract (12 months) based in London, seeking an experienced Anaplan Model Builder with a strong financial industry background. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and building complex Anaplan models for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Enhancing existing models for better functionality and performance.
- Integrating data sources with Anaplan models, ensuring data accuracy.
- Collaborating with finance, HR, and other stakeholders to develop solutions.
- Testing models and troubleshooting issues.
- Creating documentation and training end-users.
- Implementing Anaplan best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability.
Required experience includes 2-5 years in financial planning with Anaplan, proficiency in formulas, dashboards, data integration, and certifications (Level 1 & 2 preferred). Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Tableau or Power BI is also desirable.
