Vice President, Trust Associate Lead Manager

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Trust Associate Lead Manager in our Corporate Trust Operations team. This role is located in Manchester.

Responsibilities

  • The Lead Manager reports to the Group Manager and manages the daily activities of assigned Trust Associate Representatives, ensuring activities comply with company policies and procedures, identifying and managing risks, and serving as a high‑level escalation point.
  • Quickly address and resolve problems, possess strong decision‑making and organizational skills, and communicate effectively with internal shared service partners and external clients. Assist the Group Manager with developing strategic plans.
  • Hire, coach and provide professional guidance to team members; establish and evaluate performance and development goals; conduct reviews and attract and retain talent.
  • Transaction Management: maintain continuous dialogue and open communication with Client Service teams.
  • Employee Development: oversee training and development plans for all assigned employees.
  • Planning: manage staff resourcing based on business requirements, ensuring adequate coverage and timely delivery.
  • Identify and resolve issues while serving as an escalation point for complex situations.
  • Partner with Global Groups to identify and streamline business operations and enhance controls by standardizing processes and monitoring activities for quality and accuracy.
  • Serve as an escalation point and communicate effectively with internal shared services and clients, setting directions for operational service administration.
  • Business Liaison: build and lead effective relationships with offshore operational support teams to ensure client service excellence; track and measure performance of key support teams through MIS/KPI analysis and drive continuous improvements.
  • Partner Management: proactively monitor and manage the activities performed within business partners, hold regular meetings, establish SLAs and quality indicators, and give feedback to the Group Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Corporate Trust or related financial markets/securities industry experience.
  • Desirable experience in loans (syndicated, bi‑lateral, real estate).
  • Solid understanding of the products administered by the group and thorough understanding of risk management and control practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills, ability to lead a dynamic team.
  • Strong decision‑making ability and quick issue resolution.
  • Strong financial services technical skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time‑management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
