Department: SalesReports To:PresidentFLSA Status:ExemptSummaryThe Vice President Sales has overall responsibility for establishing and coordinating all sales strategies, plans, programs, and functions. Driving revenue growth while developing the sales team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.Develop and recommend product/solution positioning strategy to produce the highest possible long‑term market share.Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.Monitor and evaluate industry overall and competitor products and adjust sales and marketing activities to meet the changing market and competitive conditions.Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.Direct market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.Represent company at trade association meetings to promote product.Meet with key clients; assist sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships between Sales & Marketing, Technical Solutions, Inside Sales‑Services Support and Operations groups.Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManage and direct staff including recruitment, selections and development to achieve Company goals and objectives.Knowledge and Skill RequirementsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceExperience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and changing management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Working ConditionsHybrid office work environment with occasional travel for trade shows, events and meetings.Physical RequirementsSedentary Work: The ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periodsCommunication: Effective communication in person, over the phone, and via electronic means.Mobility/Travel: Ability to travel, sometimes frequently, by car or plane for client meetings or conferences.Lifting: Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, such as promotional materials or equipment.DisclaimerThis job description is designed to outline the general scope of work and responsibilities.
