About the Role We’re looking for a skilled and knowledgeable mechanic to join our team at an independent garage based in Harwich. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of vehicles, ensuring that every job is completed to the highest standard. Whether it’s routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, or MOT preparation, you will play a vital role in keeping vehicles on the road and our customers happy. Working Hours ● Monday to Friday ● 8:00 am - 5:30 pm Key Duties ● Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of vehicles ● Carry out routine maintenance and servicing ● Ensure vehicles meet roadworthy standards and prepare vehicles for MOT tests ● Conduct and perform MOTs (if applicable) ● Provide expert advice on repairs and maintenance to customers ● Keep up to date with technical developments and best practices in vehicle maintenance Key Requirements ● Proven experience as a mechanic ● A strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques ● MOT License (preferred but not essential) ● NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification ● Full UK driving licence If you feel like you fit the bill please send your CV to hmgvs@hotmail.com
