Vehicle Technician/ MOT Tester

The Role

We are working with a large multi-brand used car dealership in Wallasey looking for a skilled MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician. You’ll be responsible not only for carrying out MOTs to DVSA standards but also doing general workshop repair, diagnostics and servicing when required.

What You’ll Do

*

Perform MOT tests and ensure compliance with current DVSA standards

*

Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical faults

*

Carry out servicing & safety inspections

*

Maintain accurate records/job cards

*

Work to dealership quality, safety, and customer service expectations

What We Are Looking For

*

MOT Tester licence (Class 4 or equivalent)

*

NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)

*

Strong diagnostic ability and experience with workshop tools & systems

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Clean, quality-focused, able to work independently and as part of a team

Salary & Benefits

*

Basic salary £32,000–£45,000 depending on experience and qualifications

*

Bonus / OTE scheme with scope to exceed base salary

*

Standard working week (5 days), with 1 in 4 Saturdays

*
