Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our Small family ran business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using hand and power tools for the maintenance and repair of various vehicles. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Perform maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
• Utilise schematics and technical manuals to assist in the assembly and repair of vehicle components.
• Execute equipment repair tasks, ensuring all work is compliant with safety regulations.
• Operate hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair and maintenance activities.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required during the repair process, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicles condition and required services.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with schematics and ability to interpret technical documents.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to vehicle repair tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety practices, particularly when handling equipment and performing heavy lifting.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about technical issues.
