Expleo is looking for a Vehicle Engineering & Integration Technical Group Leader to be based in Warwickshire on an annual contract, leading cross‑functional engineering delivery for cutting‑edge automotive platforms.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:-
* Accountable as the leader and final technical arbitrator, integrating and delivering the engineering for the given vehicle zone whilst ensuring compatibility with target vehicle package layout, the commodity/system strategies and functional targets.
* Lead Group functional integration within the given zone, to drive out complexity and deliver the most efficient technical solutions.
* Work closely with Vehicle Attribute teams to deliver to targets
* Drive Zonal Group coordinated technical data progression (CAD, DV, commodity/system design freeze & releasing) with squads & interfacing team leads.
* Oversee delivery into both virtual and physical verification and validation.
* Drive Zonal cross squad obstacle resolution, ensuring timely escalation to the Vehicle Engineering Manager as required.
* Ensure prompt escalation of Zonal technical blockers/incompatibilities to Vehicle/Chapter/Enterprise leadership via the Obstacle process
* Support study & Agile spike activities to solve complex engineering problems
Skills Required:-
* Automotive technical knowledge and extensive experience of complex interactions, including technical analysis & decision-making.
* Excellent written and verbal technical communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
* Experience in leading teams of people to solve complex technical issues using a structured approach e.g 8D and/or Six Sigma
* Project Management experience of delivery against a complex set of Programme technical deliverables.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Vehicle attributes, target setting & cascade
* Experience of end-to-end vehicle development
