What you'll be doing:
- Manage, scope, and deliver VAT client engagements from initial take-on through to completion, ensuring compliance with risk and quality standards.
- Provide accurate and commercially focused VAT advice, drawing on strong technical knowledge, legislation, and case law.
- Produce high-quality written reports and communications, adapting your style for different audiences, including those without technical tax backgrounds.
- Analyse complex data using Microsoft Excel and present clear findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Guide and support junior team members, ensuring work is delivered to high professional standards while contributing to team development.
- Collaborate effectively with Directors and Partners, taking an active role in delivering projects and building long-lasting client relationships.
- Proven experience in Indirect Tax / VAT, gained in practice, advisory, or in-house.
- Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients with complex VAT requirements.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, comfortable working across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
- Confidence leading multidisciplinary teams and driving projects forward.
- Ability to advise on complex VAT matters, ideally with working knowledge of current UK indirect tax legislation.
