Logical Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering company who operate within the Oil, Petrochemical and Power sectors.
We require a Valve Supervisor on a full time, permanent basis in Grimsby.
Essentially you will need / have / be:
* Recognised mechanical qualifications
* Extensive valve knowledge and overhaul experience
* Awareness of and work to Q.A. & Safety standards
* Site supervisory and management skills
* Trouble shooting and solving technical problems
* Commercial Awareness
* Technical skills to support all valve products PSV, Isolation and Control and instruments
* Computer literate, with Microsoft and CRM experience
* Comfortable travelling and working away from home
* UK driving licence
* Right to Work in UK
The role:
* To champion and drive all technician safety compliance paperwork and documentation, ensuring full technician adherence to safety procedures in the field, including the completion of quality and safety reporting (NCR’s and supporting investigations).
* To conduct ADR’s with technicians in a timely and thorough manner
* To conduct regular customer visits or meetings, building relationships and holding discussions to develop new services growth and providing technical sales advice when required
* To have overall job ownership, from receipt of enquiry, creating RFQ’s, ensuring PO is in place, liaising with Site Managers regarding job planning and job progress and manage ongoing job costs to ensure expected/maximum CM%
* To engage and regularly communicate with support functions and operations to ensure clarity and contribution to the achievement of the operation/area’s KPI’s.
* Ensure every job is carried out to the expected level of quality, obtaining regular feedback from customers and identify and communicate improvements. This can be done through pre job briefs and providing the required method statements and risk assessments to the technicians via the work packs.
* To support operational requirements, working ‘on the tools’ if necessary including site surveys and supervising large projects/shutdowns when required.
* Co-ordinate with Procurement and Stores Department when required.
* Co-ordinate with service line technical support when required.
* Communicate effectively with all levels within the business to ensure successful completion of jobs.
* Work closely with all UK Supervisor
