Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Location: Burnley, East Lancashire Start Date: ASAP Pay: £107 - £115 per day (dependent on experience) Hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Term Time Only

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and reliable Unqualified Teaching Assistant to work within a school setting in the Burnley area. This role involves supporting primary and secondary aged students, helping them to access learning and engage positively throughout the school day.

The Role:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to students

Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning support

Supporting pupils with additional needs, including behavioural and emotional needs

Helping with classroom routines and transitions

Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential

Ability to travel within Burnley and surrounding areas in East Lancashire

Experience within SEN or specialist provisions is desirable

Minimum of 24 months employment history, with no significant gaps

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce), or willingness to apply and pay for one

Reliable, adaptable and keen to develop experience within education
