Overview
Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Unqualified Teacher of Food Technology to join a forward‑thinking secondary school in the Andover area. This full‑time position begins April 2026 for the summer term, with strong potential to extend into the next academic year.
You will deliver practical and theory‑based Food Technology lessons at Key Stage 3 (and potentially Key Stage 4), supported by experienced teaching staff. The school welcomes applicants without QTS who have relevant teaching, tutoring, or industry experience in food, hospitality, catering, or practical technology subjects.

Role Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons at KS3/KS4. Teach food preparation, hygiene, nutrition, and cooking skills safely and effectively. Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of learner needs. Maintain a well‑organised, safe, and inclusive practical classroom environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Technology and wider curriculum teams. Contribute positively to a values‑driven and student‑focused school culture.
Ideal Candidate
Experience teaching, tutoring, or working within food, hospitality, or catering. Strong practical skills and confidence in delivering hands‑on learning. Good behaviour‑management and communication skills. A proactive, resilient, and supportive approach aligned with the school’s values. A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one.
