RoleYour role as Nomios UK&I Finance DirectorAs the Nomios UK&I Finance Director, you will be responsible for our UK organisation and its Irish subsidiary. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, ensuring the quality of financial controls and driving the financial performance of the company.You will provide valuable insights and strategic advice to your business colleagues, enabling the achievement of key financial and operational targets. By building strong local relationships, you will effectively guide and support internal teams, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s goals.Your role will also involve leading or contributing to initiatives aimed at improving financial processes, systems, and overall company performance. Additionally, you will manage, direct, and motivate the local Financial Controller and Accounting functions, fostering a high-performing team.The successful candidate will be a high potential, detail-orientated, and analytical professional with the appropriate qualifications and excellent communication skills. ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:Collaborate Seamlessly With Other Nomios UK&I Departments – Lead partnerships with local Business Operations, Sales, and other teams to develop and implement continuous improvement processes for financial matters, including debt controls, insurance, and logisticsEngage in key commercial contract reviews and discussionsRun monthly closing activities, including preparing concise management reports, verifying report accuracy, and making necessary adjustmentsData analytics & financial strategy for service growthDevelop and implement financial strategies aimed at analysing and expanding profitable service linesLeverage data analytics to identify high-growth service opportunities, customer demand trends, and avenues for revenue optimisationPartner with business unit leaders to interpret financial data and deliver insights that guide strategic decisions for service expansionContribution margin analysis and optimisationLead the analysis of contribution margins across service lines to identify opportunities for profitability improvements through cost management and pricing strategiesCollaborate with operations and marketing teams to evaluate cost structures and pricing effectiveness, ensuring service lines meet or exceed targeted contribution marginsDefine and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive contribution margin optimisation and operational efficiencyData-driven forecasting and budgetingOversee the budgeting process and five-year planManage monthly performance analyses, including management reports and KPI monitoringBuild and oversee robust forecasting models that incorporate historical data and align with growth objectives, focusing specifically on the growth and contribution margins of service linesConduct variance analyses to compare actual financial performance against budgeted expectations, providing insights to refine forecasting accuracyWork closely with department heads to ensure effective resource allocation, aligning budgets with growth and profitability targetsPerformance reporting & insights for stakeholdersDesign and deliver comprehensive dashboards and financial reports that provide visibility into service growth metrics, contribution margin performance, and overall financial healthPresent actionable financial insights to the executive team, board, and stakeholders, with a focus on the financial impact of service lines and contribution margin optimisationEnsure reporting frameworks are agile and responsive to evolving business needs, enabling data-driven adjustments to strategyMonitor key financial KPIs, including order intake, sales invoices, margins, vendor rebates, customer payments, debtors and creditors, cash flow, and SG&A costsRun the annual financial closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements, and coordination with external auditorsManage the local financial controller and accounting functions and collaborate with external partners, including accountancy and tax firms Job RequirementsJob RequirementsWe hire result-orientated, smart, and high-energy individuals who bring a can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile and deliver exceptional outcomes.
