The Bristol Benevolent Institution (BBI) is a proud, historic charity rooted in Bristol since 1869. With an annual income of around £750,000 from endowment capital, BBI doesnt fundraise it focuses entirely on delivering meaningful, tailored support to older individuals (60+) living in the BS postcode area, which includes Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.
From quarterly grants to one-off support for essentials like furniture, flooring, and disability aids, BBI is a lifeline for many. Seasonal grants for heating in winter, and extras in summer and at Christmas add a thoughtful touch to their year-round care.
Now, BBI is seeking two new trustees to join their board. We will consider first time trustees for both roles.
