What Youll Be Doing: Lead and supervise the nightshift driving team, ensuring clear communication and smooth shift transitions. Oversee start times, load accuracy, and shift coverage to meet delivery and collection schedules. Adapt plans in real-time to meet customer demands while maintaining profitability. Monitor and report on KPIs and customer-required data daily. Ensure service levels are met in collaboration with other departments. Optimise resources while ensuring compliance with WTD and driver hours legislation. Maintain legal compliance for vehicle roadworthiness (defects, services, MOTs). Conduct return-to-work meetings, investigations, briefings, and disciplinaries.
