Transport Planner / Operator
Location: Near Grimsby

Our client, a well-established trailer operator based near Grimsby, is currently seeking an experienced Transport Planner / Operator to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a logistics professional with a strong background in transport planning and operations to join a busy and growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and coordinating full load and part load deliveries and collections
Liaising with hauliers, drivers, and customers to ensure efficient operations
Managing day-to-day transport activities in line with customer requirements
Supporting fleet operations, including awareness of driver hours and compliance
Maintaining accurate records using internal systems and Excel
Assisting with import/export processes and customs procedures where required

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience in a transport planning or operator role (essential)
Background within shipping/logistics (preferred)
Understanding of customs procedures for import and export units (advantageous)
Knowledge of fleet management and driver hours regulations (advantageous)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and transport systems
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

Transport Manager CPC qualification (not essential)

Package:

Salary circa £30,000, depending on experience
