Job Title: Transport PlannerSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE) Location: LeedsHours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Our client is a transport and logistics company based in Leeds, specialising in the planning and management of goods movement across the UK through a busy fleet operation and transport network.They are seeking a Transport Planner to effectively schedule and coordinate transport operations, ensuring timely deliveries and collections, optimal use of resources, and full compliance with all legal and safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:Plan daily transport routes, schedules, and driver allocationsCreate and issue driver manifests and delivery schedulesCommunicate with drivers, warehouse teams, customers, and hauliersTrack vehicles using TMS and GPS systemsBrief drivers daily and ensure jobs are sent to driver tabletsDeal with delays, route changes, and other transport issuesUpdate transport systems accurately (TMS)Monitor compliance, maintenance, and servicing of vehiclesSupport seasonal peaks and special projectsHelp improve efficiency using transport dataJob skills required:At least 2 years' experience in transport or logisticsGood knowledge of UK geographyStrong communication and organisation skillsAble to work well under pressureExperience with transport systems (TMS) and Microsoft OfficeProblem-solving mindset and attention to detailStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
