We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner based at our flagship Leeds depot The main purpose of this role is: To plan/coordinate and support Transport activities at Leeds Site. Maintains Safety, Quality, Service, Cost & Productivity performance to ensure all objectives are met. Key responsibilities are to: Plan/coordinate a safe & efficient day to day transport operation for Leeds Site. Support the management of all drivers ensuring they are effectively managed within the framework of ASDs policies & procedures; particularly relating to Health & Safety, traffic legislation, training, time keeping, absence control, discipline & compliance. Support the management of the Companys legal responsibilities in regard of road transport operations, employment law & environmental, health & safety legislation are fully complied with. Ensures quality procedures are followed & NCRs raised as applicable. Monitor efficiency of transport operation & drives performance improvement. Ensures KPIs are kept up to date, initiates & tracks improvement actions. Support the deployment & sustainment of Ten Commandments; particularly number 5, Efficient Transport. Ensures customer requirements are satisfied by making sure that activities are correctly prioritised & resourced Deliver training to vehicle drivers as required.
