Transport Planner / Senior / Principal Transport Planner\n\nLocation: Birmingham\n Salary: Circa. £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + Benefits\n Type: Full-Time | Permanent\n\nTransport Planner to Principal - Birmingham\n\nAre you an experienced Transport Planner looking to take the next step in your career, or already operating at Senior or Principal level and seeking a new opportunity? \nA well-established and growing transport & infrastructure consultancy is looking to appoint a Transport Planner through to Principal level into its Birmingham office, offering the chance to work on a wide range of development and infrastructure projects across the UK.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nYou'll be joining a highly capable and collaborative team delivering transport planning services across:\n\nResidential and mixed-use developments\nCommercial and logistics schemes\nEducation and healthcare projects\nUrban regeneration and public sector developments\nThe consultancy operates across transport planning, highways design, drainage and environmental services, offering a fully integrated approach and exposure to the entire project lifecycle.
\nThis role offers the opportunity to remain technically involved, while also taking on greater responsibility in project delivery, client interaction, and team development depending on your level.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Transport Planner / Senior / Principal, your responsibilities will include:\n\nPreparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans\nUndertaking junction capacity assessments and traffic modelling\nSupporting and leading projects from feasibility through to planning and delivery\nLiaising with clients, local authorities and project teams\nManaging multiple projects and ensuring high-quality technical delivery\nSupporting and mentoring junior team members\nContributing to client relationships and business growth (Senior/Principal level)\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nExperience within transport planning, ideally in a consultancy environment\nStrong experience preparing Transport Assessments and technical reports\nExperience with modelling software such as: \nJunctions 9 (ARCADY / PICADY)\nLinSig / TRANSYT / VISSIM / SATURN (beneficial depending on level)\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills\nAbility to manage workload and deliver projects to deadlines\n\nFor Senior / Principal Candidates:\n\nExperience leading projects and reviewing technical work\nAbility to manage client relationships and project delivery\nExperience mentoring or managing junior staff\nCommercial awareness and contribution to team growth\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nOpportunity to work on diverse and high-profile projects\nExposure to a fully integrated consultancy environment\nStrong pipeline of work and continued business growth\nCollaborative and supportive team culture\nClear progression opportunities into senior leadership roles\nIf you are seeking a transport planning role and want a strong option at a consultancy that can support your growth, apply directly or contact Michael from Aldwych Consulting on (phone number removed).\n\nAldwych Consulting values and promotes equality.
