Job Description

Role: Transport Planner\n\nLocation: Nottingham\n\nSalary: £33-£41k (DOE)\n\nRef: MAR1164\n\nOur client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Nottingham. You will be working in a supportive and collaborative team on a range of projects from small scale access assessments to the preparation of Transportation Assessments for strategic development sites.\n\nYou will be a key addition to their team, contributing to the continued development of the Transport Planning team and wider business.\n\nThe Transport Planner Role:\n\nYou will be involved in the following role responsibilities:\n\n * Develop transport infrastructure scheme designs using AutoCAD in line with industry guidance and standards\n\n * Undertake and oversee road network analysis.\n\n * Preparation of technical reports (Transportation Assessments, Access Appraisals, Travel Plans etc)\n\nCandidate Specification:\nYou will be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:\n\n * A degree (or equivalent) in Transport Planning or a related discipline\n\n * Experience in transport engineering and planning with demonstrable skills in all or some of the following:\n\n * Development planning\n\n * Traffic engineering\n\n * Working knowledge of Junctions 9, LINSIG, TRANSYT.\n\n * A working knowledge of Paramics Discovery would be beneficial\n\n * Infrastructure design applying SCOTS / DMRB roads design principles\n\n * Feasibility studies\n\n * Sustainable transport planning\n\n * A member of a relevant professional organisation (such as CIHT or ICE) ideally on route to incorporated or chartered status\n\n * Experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD software\n\n * MSc or further postgraduate qualifications related to transport planning or transport engineering would be beneficial\n\nWHAT TO DO NEXT:\n\nIf you are interested in this Transport Planner position in Nottingham, then please click on the link to apply.\n\nIf you are interested in hearing about any other opportunities within Transport Planning, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drainage Engineering, Flood Risk Engineering, or Structural Engineering, please contact Martin on (phone number removed)
