Job Title: Transport Planner\n\nSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE)\n Location: Leeds\n\nHours: Full-time, Monday to Friday\n\nOur client is a transport and logistics company based in Leeds, specialising in the planning and management of goods movement across the UK through a busy fleet operation and transport network.\n\nThey are seeking a Transport Planner to effectively schedule and coordinate transport operations, ensuring timely deliveries and collections, optimal use of resources, and full compliance with all legal and safety regulations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPlan daily transport routes, schedules, and driver allocations\nCreate and issue driver manifests and delivery schedules\nCommunicate with drivers, warehouse teams, customers, and hauliers\nTrack vehicles using TMS and GPS systems\nBrief drivers daily and ensure jobs are sent to driver tablets\nDeal with delays, route changes, and other transport issues\nUpdate transport systems accurately (TMS)\nMonitor compliance, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles\nSupport seasonal peaks and special projects\nHelp improve efficiency using transport data \n\nJob skills required:\n\nAt least 2 years' experience in transport or logistics\nGood knowledge of UK geography\nStrong communication and organisation skills\nAble to work well under pressure\nExperience with transport systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office\nProblem-solving mindset and attention to detail \n\nStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
