Are you a motivated and ambitious Transport Planner with at least 2 years of experience in development-focused transport planning? We are seeking a Transport Planner with a passion for transport planning and a desire to contribute to a wide range of development planning projects across the UK. This role offers the chance to work on diverse and impactful projects, with a strong focus on sustainable development and the transition to net zero.
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home and the office being based in Birmingham.
As a Transport Planner, you will:
Gather, analyse, and interpret traffic data from various external sources.
Assess development sites for accessibility across multiple transport modes.
Contribute to the preparation of Technical Notes, Transport Statements/Assessments, Environmental Statement chapters, and Travel Plans.
Create technical figures and use GIS tools to support reports and assessments.
Conduct junction capacity assessments and site visits.
Assist in masterplan and junction design, as well as the design of highway improvement schemes.
Work collaboratively with an experienced team, receiving tailored support to aid your professional development.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A degree in a relevant field such as Geography, Transport Planning, Town Planning, or Civil Engineering.
A minimum of two years of experience in development-focused transport planning.
Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
Excellent presentation and technical writing abilities.
The ability to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and budgets.
A genuine interest and enthusiasm for transport planning
Your typical day will involve:
Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality transport planning solutions.
Analysing data and preparing technical reports to support development projects.
Engaging with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Contributing to the design and assessment of transport infrastructure.
Balancing multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic and supportive environment.
