Transport Operator - Lombard Shipping are currently recruiting for two Transport Operators to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis in Ipswich, Suffolk. About the role: As a Transport Operator , your primary responsibility will be to organise the distribution of goods, ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently, effectively, and within time and cost constraints. You will play a key role in planning transport, distribution and warehouse operations, monitoring the flow of goods, and ensuring all customer requirements are met accurately and on time. This is a full-time, office-based position working Monday to Friday, on a shift rota (06:00 - 15:30 and then 10:00-19:30) Key responsibilities include: Plan and route transport operations including container shunting, full loads and multi-drop deliveries, ensuring efficient fleet utilisation and cost-effective subcontracting Coordinate drivers, vehicles, and contractors to ensure smooth and timely execution of transport activities Liaise wi...
