About the Role Frank Bird (Poultry) Ltd is seeking an experienced, compliance-focused Transport Manager to oversee and maintain full compliance with our Operator Licence undertakings and all relevant road transport legislation. This is a key role within the business, reporting directly to senior management and acting as the nominated Transport Manager on our Operator Licence. Key Responsibilities Exercising continuous and effective control of transport operations in line with Operator Licence requirements Ensuring full compliance with: Drivers hours and tachograph regulations Vehicle maintenance and safety inspection regimes Operator Licence undertakings and Traffic Commissioner expectations Managing and reviewing: Defect reporting procedures Preventive maintenance schedules MOT preparation and compliance records Overseeing driver compliance, including licence checks, CPC, inductions, and disciplinary processes where required Liaising with: DVSA and Traffic Commissioners Office Maintenance providers and external auditors
