Job Description

The Translation People specialises in providing business to business translation and services for its international client base through a global network of strategic partners. We are ranked #63 in the CSA ranking of global LSPs. The Translation People operates from our head office in Manchester, with additional offices in the UK, France, Germany and Spain.

We now have a new opportunity for a Translation Project Manager with good customer service skills to join our Project Management team. You will manage a portfolio of international key clients, maintaining client relationships and further developing business with our clients. The management of translation and localisation projects from quotation stage to final invoicing is also required. The Translation Project Manager is responsible for liaising with linguists and the production team on the client’s requirements and for providing the best and innovative solutions to every request.

We are looking for a Translation Project Manager with excellent English competency. The successful candidate should be a graduate in translation studies, modern or similar. Proven experience in a project manager role in the translation industry is essential. You should share our passion for and delivering a high-quality service.

Key attributes for this post are:

experience as a project manager in the translation industry, strong organisational skills, a desire to exceed client expectations, a keen eye for detail, adaptability, a high level of memoQ knowledge (other CAT tools are an advantage), good communication skills.

You should have a professional attitude, be self motivated and able to work equally well unsupervised or as part of a team. Whilst your administrative and organisational skills are of paramount importance, your attitude and approach are of equal value. We are looking for a hardworking and conscientious individual with a positive outlook and cheerful personality; someone who is calm under pressure and who strives to deliver the best possible service to their clients.
