We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Transition Programme Manager to lead a high-profile service transition from incumbent to new supplier, within a large-scale, complex Application Management Services environment.
This role will initially focus on transition delivery, with the opportunity to evolve into the long-term Application Management Lead overseeing a portfolio of 50–100 applications, ranging from legacy systems to modern cloud-hosted services (Azure and AWS). We are particularly interested in individuals who bring both strategic insight and hands-on execution capability.
What You’ll Do
Lead the end-to-end transition of services from an incumbent supplier, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum continuity.
Provide expert leadership across application management, with an understanding of legacy estates and cloud-based platforms, including Azure and AWS.
Implement and embed robust service management practices (e.g. incident, change, SLAs), driving operational stability during and post-transition.
Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels – strategic, operational, internal, and external – building trusted relationships across the programme.
Collaborate with an established bid team and internal delivery groups to align transition objectives with wider contractual and strategic goals.What We’re Looking For
Proven experience delivering complex transitions at scale, ideally in the application management domain.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and influence across multi-disciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
Experience in the public sector, ideally in law enforcement or security, holding SC clearance as a minimum; NPPV is desirable.
A resilient, proactive and personable leader who can navigate ambiguity, maintain momentum, and inspire confidence throughout change.
Based within commuting distance of London, with the flexibility to work on-site a few days per week as needed
