We are seeking a Transactional Services Manager to join our Private Investment Funds practice in London. The Transactional Services Manager will work collaboratively to further the Firm’s strategic objectives of onboarding, training, developing and retaining highly accomplished and dedicated paralegals, staff-attorneys and associates.

Specifically, the Transactional Services Manager will work with the Senior PSL and Practice Manager and senior members of the PIF practice group to initially establish and oversee the day-to-day administration and oversight of the paralegal cohort in London including with respect to the development of a paralegal Transactions Services Team, developing forms, precedents and ‘play-books’ focusing on the implementation of limited partnership transfers for sponsors in their funds as well as for large ‘buy-side’ secondary funds , MFN and bibling processes, evaluation and integration of new technologies, integration of other practice group resources and technologies, and strategic planning and execution. The role will also require development and training of partners and associates on work-flows and processes who will also need to be up to speed on these implementations and technology processes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the development and lead the execution of the PIF Practice’s vision and strategy for the development and oversight of the Transaction Services Team.

• Collaborating with the Innovation team and support the evaluation of emerging technologies to support the Transactions Services Team and oversee pilot programs testing these technologies.

• Building, organising and mentoring high-performing paralegal and staff-attorney teams, fostering an environment of accountability, professional growth, and continuous development. Build in quality control mechanisms for paralegal and staff-attorney work product.

• Working with the PIF Senior PSL and Practice Manager regarding staffing needs for the paralegal team and recruitment where required.

• Responsible for setting price models and budgeting for these processes, together with ongoing monitoring and budgetary accountability.

• Facilitating reporting and communications, presenting progress, risks and opportunities to senior members of the PIF Practice.

• Collaborating with the PIF Senior PSL and Practice Manager to create and maintain templates where necessary.

• Assisting with developing skills checklists for paralegals and associates.

• Working with the PIF Senior PSL and Practice Manager to develop and run PIF training programs, including coordinating with presenters.

Qualifications:

• Corporate lawyer (with Private Investment Fund experience), with 4+ years of experience at a top law firm or equivalent in-house role in Europe

• Strong understanding of the private fund practice

• Robust leadership and management skills

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Entrepreneurial, self- motivated, and organized

• Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing demands on time and attention

• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, as needed
