Location: Belfast (Hybrid working)Contract Rate: £400 per dayContract Type: ContractWe are currently supporting a global financial services organisation in Belfast to appoint a Transaction Monitoring Implementation Data Analyst on a contract basis, paying £400 per day.This role sits within the Markets Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) function and will play a critical part in the delivery and enhancement of market abuse surveillance and regulatory controls within a fast-paced, high-impact environment.The RoleYou will lead and support data-driven initiatives aligned to transaction monitoring and surveillance controls, working closely with risk, compliance, technology and business stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:Leading all data-related aspects of transaction monitoring and market abuse surveillance initiativesGathering data requirements and sourcing relevant datasetsWriting SQL queries to extract, analyse and validate large and complex datasetsDocumenting datasets, filters and associated rationale clearly and accuratelyActing as a Subject Matter Expert for data consumed by transaction monitoring controlsAnalysing data issues, identifying root causes, and recommending improvementsSupporting risk assessments and ensuring alignment to regulatory and internal control standardsWorking with global stakeholders across different regionsSkills & Experience Required4-8 years' experience working as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst within a regulated or financial services environmentStrong SQL skills (essential)Experience working with large datasets and complex data structuresExposure to financial markets and products (bonds, derivatives, or trading data) is highly desirableStrong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skillsConfident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholdersComfortable working with autonomy in a project-based, delivery-focused roleWhat's on Offer£400 per day contract rateOpportunity to work on high-profile regulatory and surveillance initiativesExposure to global teams and senior stakeholdersBelfast-based role with flexible hybrid workingFast-paced, delivery-focused environment with meaningful impactApplyIf you're a data analyst with strong SQL skills and experience supporting risk, compliance or transaction monitoring initiatives, we'd be keen to have a confidential discussion.??
