Pertemps are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing engineering company based in Hereford to recruit a Trainee CAD Technician / Draughtsperson.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with AutoCAD experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive operations and design team. You’ll gain hands-on experience working on live contracts, liaising with customers, and supporting production with accurate technical drawings.
The Role
- Assist in producing CAD drawings for multiple live contracts
- Amend and update drawings in line with customer and production requirements
- Liaise with customers to agree general arrangement drawings and resolve queries
- Issue approved drawings to the production team for manufacture
- Work closely with the internal design team on drawing-related matters
- Maintain drawing records using Autodesk Vault
- Ensure all work meets company quality and Health & Safety standards
Essential:
- Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Vault
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Salary £28,000 – £30,000 (dependent on experience)
