Key Responsibilities:
Carry out dimensional and visual inspections of components and assemblies against engineering drawings using equipment such as Faro Arm and CMM.
Perform functional testing and validation of parts using a wide range of precision measurement tools.
Visually inspect welds to ensure compliance with specified quality standards.
Identify and record non-conformances, assisting in root cause analysis and supporting the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Verify the quality of finished goods prior to dispatch, ensuring all products meet customer and internal specifications.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to improve processes and drive first-time-right manufacturing.
Maintain and update quality performance data and KPIs to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance procedures
Competent in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications
Experienced in the use of precision measurement and inspection tools, including CMM and Faro Arm systems
Confident in applying a variety of metrology techniques to ensure product accuracy and consistency
Background in welding and fabrication processes, with practical application in production settings
Strong attention to detail, ensuring high standards are consistently maintained
Holds GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
A qualification such as a BTech, HNC or HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering would be advantageous
