As a Trainee Plater, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing metal components through cleaning, degreasing and masking
Operating electroplating tanks and monitoring essential controls
Checking plating thickness and inspecting parts against quality standards
Maintaining electroplating equipment to ensure safe operation
Recording accurate process information and completing documentation

As a Trainee Plater, your experience will include:

Previous experience in electroplating, ideally with cadmium or zinc‑nickel (advantageous but not essential)
A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
Confidence using tools and equipment in a workshop environment
Understanding of surface preparation and plating processes (advantageous)
A willingness to learn new technical skills
