A well-regarded secondary school in Lewisham is offering a salaried Maths Trainee Teacher position from September. This role is ideal for a graduate with strong subject knowledge who is committed to training as a secondary Maths teacher while gaining hands-on classroom experience.
You will work alongside experienced teachers, gradually taking on responsibility for planning and delivering lessons as the year progresses. Full training and mentoring will be provided as part of a structured school-based training programme.
Maths Trainee Teacher Key Responsibilities:
Train to teach Maths across KS3KS4 (KS5 exposure where possible)
Support lessons before progressing to independent teaching
Plan and deliver lessons under guidance from a mentor
Assess pupil progress and provide feedback
Engage fully with the schools training and development programme
Person Specification:
Degree in Maths or a closely related subject
Strong academic background
Clear commitment to becoming a qualified teacher
Professional, organised and resilient
