Job Description
A great opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their high‑performing manufacturing site.\n\nThis is a genuine development role, designed for someone early in their engineering career who wants hands‑on experience, structured training and a clear pathway to becoming a fully competent multi‑skilled maintenance engineer.\n\nYou'll be working alongside experienced engineers on a fast‑paced production environment, learning how to fault‑find, maintain and improve automated machinery while building long‑term career security in a stable manufacturing business.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupport planned and reactive maintenance activities across production machinery\nAssist with fault finding on electrical systems, including control panels, sensors, motors and drives, boilers etc\nCarry out basic electrical repairs under supervision\nLearn to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals\nSupport breakdown response to minimise downtime\nAssist with continuous improvement and reliability projects\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to health & safety standards at all timesBeneficial Skills / Qualifications:\n\nElectrical qualification (NVQ Level 2/3, BTEC, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or similar)\nStrong interest in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment\nWillingness to learn, take feedback and develop technical ability\nReliable, safety‑focused and comfortable working shifts \nAny exposure to maintenance or manufacturing environments\nBasic understanding of PLCs or automated equipment\nMechanical awareness or interest in becoming multi‑skilled\nAttitude and commitment are more important than experience.\nFull training will be providedAdditional Information:\n\nStructured training plan with experienced engineers\nClear progression to Maintenance Engineer level\nCompetitive pay with shift allowance\nSecure, long‑term employment with a growing manufacturer\nExposure to modern automated production equipment\nSupportive engineering team and strong safety culture
