Trainee Helpdesk Coordinator (Engineering / Field Service Team) Walthamstow, North London Up to £30,000 benefits
We’re working with a well-established and forward-thinking business within the print and document solutions sector, looking to appoint a Trainee Service Coordinator to join their head office operation.
This is a great opportunity for someone currently working within a service desk / IT support environment who is looking to move into a more operational, coordination-focused role within a technical service team.
The business is continuing to invest in technology and automation, creating a structured and efficient service operation where systems support you rather than slow you down.
The Role
You’ll sit at the centre of the service function, supporting the coordination of field engineers and helping ensure a smooth and responsive service delivery.
\n Assisting with coordinating and allocating service calls to field engineers
\n
Supporting the management of incoming breakdowns and service requests
\n
Monitoring engineer activity and job progress in real time
\n
Helping to manage return visits, parts coordination, and scheduling
\n
Acting as a key link between engineers, customers, and internal teams
\n
Ensuring systems are kept up to date and reflective of live service activity
\n
What They’re Looking For
\n Background in a service desk / IT support / helpdesk environment
\n
Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone
\n
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced setting
\n
Keen to learn and develop within a technical service environment
\n
Good systems skills and attention to detail
\n
Must be within commutable distance of Walthamstow – this job is site based and you will be in the office every day
\n
