Trainee Design Technician \nCoventry \n£25,000 with good progression prospects \n\nkey skills: Trainee Design technician, construction, timber engineering \n\nClear progression path | Excellent prospects throughout the company | Use your people and technical skills | Global company with a family business approach | competitive starting salary with good benefits package \n\nTrainee Design Technician required to join a team of experienced designers, where you will be working on structural roof and floor design solutions to clients in the UK and Ireland. \n\nReporting to the Design Office Manager, you will be:\n\nReviewing architectural drawings and working on designs of timber roof and floor components\nProducing 3D building models, inputting architectural data into specialist CAD design software\nPreparing construction drawings for use by client and site teams\nSupporting your customers with design or software queriesOnce your 6-month training and probation period has completed, you will also be:\n\nAssisting in the training of software use and timber design\nAttending site visits, writing reports and testing softwareAbout you:\n\nYou will be within close commuting distance of the office in the Coventry area\nIdeally educated to A-level with good Maths and trigonometry skills (this will be tested at interview!)\nKeen to progress your career, working in a technical and customer supporting role\nYour working hours will be 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday but an earlier or later start/finish can be arranged to suit travel arrangements and you will have 33 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) \n\nThis will give you a great opportunity to join a specialist company and take your career to suit your skills and interests.
