Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education and a desire to become a qualified Secondary Teacher? If so, this Train to Teach opportunity across East London could be perfect for you!

We are working in partnership with a number of fantastic Secondary Schools across East London, all offering a Train to Teach route from September 2025. These are long-term academic mentor positions, paid on a daily rate, with a clear pathway into salaried teacher training the following academic year.

What will this Train to Teach position involve?

Working with students across KS3-4

Supporting learning in your subject specialism (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, or more)

1:1 and group interventions

Leading small classes under supervision as an unqualified teacher

Full support and mentorship throughout the year

ABOUT THE ROLE

Academic Mentor role - supporting KS3-4 students in your subject

Team teaching and gradually taking on more classroom responsibility

Daily rate of £110 - £120 per day (term time only)

September 2025 Start - Full Time (Mon-Fri)

1-year placement leading to salaried teacher training in 2026

Based across multiple schools in East London

ABOUT YOU

A degree in a relevant subject area (any subject welcome to apply)

A genuine ambition to become a Secondary Teacher

A confident and proactive personality

Some experience working with children or young people is desirable

Committed to a long-term career in education
