A number of fantastic Primary Schools across East London are offering a Train to Teach route for a September 2025 start. These are long-term SEN Teaching Assistant positions, paid on a daily rate, with a clear pathway into salaried teacher training with the school the following year.

What will this Train to Teach (Primary) position involve?

Working 1:1 or in small groups with children with SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech & language needs)

Supporting learning, behaviour and social-emotional development

Assisting the class teacher across the school day

Gaining hands-on experience in a nurturing primary setting

Full support and guidance from experienced staff

ABOUT THE ROLE

SEN Teaching Assistant - supporting pupils with additional needs across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

Providing 1:1 and group support inside and outside of the classroom

Daily rate of £110 - £120 per day (term time only)

September 2025 Start - Full Time (Mon-Fri)

1-year placement leading to salaried teacher training in 2026

Based across a range of Primary Schools in East London

A degree in any subject

A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education

A patient, caring and resilient personality

Some experience working with children or young people is desirable
