Our client, a haulage company is looking for a Night traffic operator to join their office in Tilbury. Role Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Night Traffic Operator to join our operations team. This is a key role within our transport function, responsible for managing and coordinating night-time traffic operations, ensuring smooth container movements, and maintaining high service standards. Working Hours Monday to Friday: 22:00 08:00
Shift concludes at 08:00 Saturday morning
Please note: The successful candidate will work alongside another team member at all times, except between 04:00 08:00 on Saturday morning.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate night-time container haulage operations
Manage driver communications and allocate work effectively
Monitor vehicle movements and respond to operational issues in real time
Ensure compliance with company procedures and transport regulations
Liaise with ports, customers, and drivers to ensure service delivery
Maintain accurate records within traffic management systems
Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a traffic operator or transport planning role
Strong background in container haulage (highly desirable)
