Contract: 12-week temporary to permanent
Shift Pattern: 3 days on / 3 days off
• 07:00 – 19:00
• 19:00 – 07:00 (rotating days and nights)
An established logistics operation is seeking a reliable Yard Controller to manage vehicle movements and maintain safety within a busy distribution yard. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience working around HGVs and controlled yard environments.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and controlling access via the entry gate
Checking vehicles in and out of the yard
Directing HGV and delivery vehicle movements safely
Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures
Communicating clearly with drivers and site staff
Maintaining an organised and efficient yard operation
About You
Previous experience working with lorries / HGVs in a yard environment is preferred
Experience as a Yard Controller, Banksman, or Traffic Marshal is essential
Confident managing vehicle movements and site safety
Banksman training is advantageous but not essential
Willing to work rotating day and night shifts
