The Position: Trade Execution

We are looking for an experienced candidate to work in a trade execution role in dry bulk grains.


Role and Responsibilities:

-         Checking and issuing contracts.

-         Execution of physical trades, including preparation of and presentation of documents.

-         Purchases and sales may be paid by way of letter of credit. The candidate will be expected to be familiar with L/C’s, and be able to prepare documents for presentation under them.

-         The candidate may also be required to prepare letter of credit applications for purchases.

-         Maintaining orderly files during the execution of a contract.

-        Knowledge and experience working with container shipments.

-         Arrangement of supervision, liaison with supervision companies, issuance of documents.

-         Following insurance requirements, arranging issuance of certificates, and declarations to underwriters.

-         Ensuring follow up tasks such as demurrage / despatch have been dealt with. A knowledge of this subject would be an advantage although training will be given if necessary.

-         A strong knowledge of GAFTA and FOSFA contracts and rules would be useful.


Experience:

The candidate should be familiar with FOB and CFR contract terms with Ideally four years or more in a similar role in grains, softs, steel or other commodities, however other candidates may be considered.
