Our client, a forward-thinking planning consultancy, is looking for a Town Planner. You’ll work on a diverse portfolio of projects, from residential and commercial developments to mixed-use and regeneration schemes. This is a role where you can make a real impact; guiding projects from concept through to completion while managing planning applications and overseeing development management responsibilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Prepare, manage, and submit planning applications and appeals
* Oversee development management processes to ensure high-quality outcomes and compliance with planning conditions
* Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities to build strong relationships
* Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and planning policy research
* Provide strategic planning and development advice to clients and project teams
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and environmental specialists
What We’re Looking For
* A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (MRTPI chartership or working towards is desirable)
* Understanding of UK planning legislation, policy, and development management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
