Location: Plympton, Plymouth Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:30 Job Type: Permanent

Mego Employment is working with a well‑established and highly respected engineering company based in Plympton, who are looking to recruit a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their close‑knit and experienced team.

This is a hands‑on role performing TIG welding. You will be involved in a wide range of bespoke fabrication projects, working with stainless steel and heavy steel components, including structural steel, beams, and girders. This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their workmanship, and is comfortable taking ownership of work from start to finish.

The Role

In this position, you will be responsible for:

TIG welding of stainless steel components to a high standard Fabrication and installation of heavy steel, including steel beams and girders Reading and interpreting technical and fabrication drawings Fabricating, assembling, and installing bespoke metalwork Setting out and installing balustrades and architectural metalwork Supporting steel erection and installation activities Managing your own workload and supervising others when required
