This is not a pure design role and it is not a sales role. It sits between both, giving you exposure to how engineering solutions are shaped, priced and delivered to customers.
You will work closely with sales and engineering teams to interpret specifications, support technical proposals and contribute to tender submissions that win projects. It is an opportunity to develop both your technical understanding and your commercial awareness in a structured, supportive environment.
What you will be doing
Interpret client specifications and technical requirements
Support the creation of technical proposals and tender submissions
Assist in preparing costings and pricing breakdowns
Work closely with sales and design engineering teams to coordinate information
Help ensure proposals are accurate, competitive and aligned with project requirements
Support handover of successful projects into engineering and delivery teamsOver time, you will gain exposure to:

What we are looking for We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Ability to interpret technical information or engineering specifications
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work across teams
Interest in developing a career in proposals, tendering or technical sales
Experience supporting proposals, applications or tendering activities or a strong interest in moving into this area
Background in design, test, commissioning or similar engineering roles looking to transition into a more commercial positionYou may have gained experience through:

£28,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
