This is an on site role, ideal for someone who is confident managing the purchase ledger and enjoys a hands on, transactional finance position.\n\nThe role\n Reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and agreed payment terms.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\nProcessing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes received electronically\n\nChecking invoice accuracy including coding and VAT treatment\n\nEnsuring invoices follow correct approval workflows prior to posting\n\nLiaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and queries\n\nMonitoring invoices to ensure they are processed ahead of payment run deadlines\n\nReconciling supplier statements and chasing missing or outstanding invoices\n\nManaging the accounts payable inbox and responding to queries efficiently\n\nAssisting with purchase ledger and subcontractor payment runs\n\nAbout you\n\nProven experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role\n\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\n\nConfident communicator with suppliers and internal stakeholders\n\nWell organised with the ability to manage competing priorities\n\nComfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment\n\nGood working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams\n\nExperience with finance systems is essential\n\nPersonal attributes\n\nReliable, proactive, and solutions focused\n\nFlexible approach to workload\n\nStrong team player with a professional attitude\n\nThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk looking for a long term temporary assignment with an immediate start
