Tele-Truck Driver (Timber Yard)

Location:Wem
Pay Rate:From £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours:

  • Monday Thursday: 7:00am 5:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am 1:00pm

The Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Tele-Truck Driver to join a busy and well-established timber yard team.

This role is ideally suited to candidates with timber yard or builders merchant experience, rather than construction site telehandler operators. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily yard operations, ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a tele-truck to move timber and building materials around the yard
  • Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
  • Supporting general yard duties when required
  • Assisting with stock organisation and storage
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

  • Previous tele-truck or telehandler experience essential
  • Timber yard or builders merchant experience preferred
  • Valid licence/certification to operate telehandler machinery
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to worko work as part of a team
