About the Department Sitting within the Chief Operating Office (COO), the Technology Controls Assurance function is responsible for providing assurance over the technology and security control environment, as well as assisting the business in the development of new controls, improving controls efficiency through automation, and advising senior management on control effectiveness. About the Role Working for the Technology Controls Assurance Lead, you will be part of the team which continues to transform and mature our Technology controls framework. You will support the ongoing development of Aberdeen's ICT Risk framework to ensure that technology risks and controls are understood, governed and accurately reported. Key Responsibilities
Co‑ordinate control oversight activities so we understand the effectiveness of technology controls against regulation and our internal Policies and Standards. Provide advice to drive improvements in our control design and operating practices. Support external reviews and requests from stakeholders such as clients and auditors. Drive the delivery of insightful and risk‑based reporting so that our technical risk and control environment may be understood by stakeholders, boards and regulators. Working collaboratively with our stakeholders, support the delivery of ICT risk framework initiatives to drive continuous improvement and risk reduction.
About the Candidate
Experience of working with information security controls and regulatory standards (i.e. COBIT, NIST and ISO 27001/2). Experience of delivering assurance activity (including control testing) of key controls. Demonstrate a balance of technical and non‑technical knowledge of technology, information & cyber security. Ability to implement robust risk management processes and insightful reporting to key stakeholders. Motivated individual with an ability to build productive and trusted relationships both internally and externally.
